Holly Brieschke

In July 2021, Holly Brieschke moved into Faithful Servants after giving up her trailer, which had become a hazard to both her and her son’s health. She also realized she was not ready to live with the man she was dating, as he was struggling with alcohol relapse while she had six years of sobriety, creating challenges for them both. Holly’s goal in moving to Faithful Servants was to strengthen her already established relationship with God and rebuild her credit.

After three months, she moved out when her great-uncle bought a house. However, at the end of the school year in June 2022, she returned to Faithful Servants, where she remained until October 2023, when she secured her own place. During this time, she and her son had a safe and stable home, deepened their walk with God, and built meaningful personal and community connections.

While at Faithful Servants, Holly advanced professionally by securing a higher-paying job, purchasing a reliable vehicle, and improving her credit score to nearly 700 - allowing her to qualify for housing. Toward the end of her stay, she took on the role of house mom, responsible for maintaining peace in the home, addressing household concerns, and communicating with the board about any issues that arose. The board members encouraged her growth and provided valuable support as she navigated her son’s behavioral challenges in a communal living setting. With their guidance and the strength she gained from the program, she found the courage to begin pursuing her divorce.

After moving out, Holly joined the advisory board to give back to the program that had provided her with shelter and stability during a difficult chapter of her life. She also became a leader in the Celebrate Recovery program and serves as a women’s Bible study leader when there is a group in need.

Today, her boyfriend has maintained his sobriety, and they are learning how to build a healthy family together. God willing, this July, Holly will celebrate 10 years of sobriety. Faithful Servants continues to bless her, and it is incredibly rewarding for her to contribute to the ministry. Recently, she was even gifted a washer and dryer for her apartment—one of the many ways this community continues to pour back into her life.

Thank you, Faithful Servants!
